I listened to Sapiens. All the cool kids did. I've fancied myself 'educated' and smarter than the average bear...I thought Yuval made some great points in Sapiens--then part 2 his agenda of transhumanism is explicit.
I still did not freak out like I should have. It was COVID. It was the withdrawal from Kabul, that criminally negligent shamefest, it was J6 narrative, vaxx mandates, George Floyd riots (with pallets of bricks showing up...how does that happen 'spontaneously'?), all of it, everywhere, all at once...
My eyes are no open, but hurt from all of the carnage I am able to see today.

Localism not globalism used to be my motto, but in the digital age with the invention of the internet, it seems globalism is now part of the equation. I prefer the simpler times when our information came from printed paper sources (less distractions, no links to click on, no pop-up windows, it was better for long term memory retention), the digital age rapidly invaded our homes and personal carry-on products that the people who uses those technologies haven't caught up with the latest science on its effect on the human brain. So, as a Generation X that grew into adulthood in the "analog age," I prefer now practicing digital detox, and focusing more on localism again. Maybe a sense of globalism isn't going away in the digital age, so we have to adapt to it, but radical globalism by egomaniacs needs a Trump to push back on their nefarious agenda.
