I believe that he was following orders, and that he cannot speak out against the COVID vaccines, because it will destroy him politically, or worse.
I have a Chinese friend who told me right out that he invests in companies that sell sugary drinks and in dialysis centers. He thought it was amusing that the one investment creates customers for the other.
