1) Do not get vaccinated. 2) Do not get vaccinated. 3) Do not get vaccinated = potentially live to 100

The claims in the Blue Zone have more to do with the author's ideology than it does with reality. According to other sources, the Okinawans eat fish and pork with every meal. They may also have been the only people in Japan who never adopted a vegetarian diet.

Thank you for the report.

Living longer, especially in the United States, is going to be a torture if a decisive coup is ruled out. Looking at pictures of smirk faces of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Obama as well as G. W. Bush even once a year is enough to shorten my life for a few months. Let alone the devaluation they have brought to our lives.

You're ignoring the elephant in the room - the biggest correlation with longevity in Blue Zones by far is meat consumption. Apart from the Loma Lindan vegetarians, whose longevity is in fact no different from the nearby meat-eating Mormons, ie their health may be more to do with their abstention from poisonous substances like alcohol and tobacco.

Hari hachi bu... ! That is a very powerful piece of advice and easy once you make it a habit. Been doing this for years and never overweight.

I saw no TV's, iphones or computers in the photos...maybe they have them but I'm guessing they don't..which means they turn to each other for interesting conversation, connection and entertainment. I also wonder if they are in retirement homes but again I'm guessing no as they don't 'retire' and so remain connected to and living with family. Living to 100 is pretty much a curse in the U.S. unless you have your health and close ties to those you love...and both are a rare combo.

Obesity from the garbage in fast food chains is a big reason Americans are dying. Second is the couch potato lifestyle. Work then watch TV at night. Then do it again and again

If two-thirds of your calories are coming from sweet potatoes, you may not necessarily live to be 100 - but it sure as hell will feel like it.

Goes to show just how off course America has been for generations at this point, imagine what you eat and what your surroundings are like having anything to do with your health and longevity.

Take two tomato plants and stick one in sand and the other in nutrient rich soil and tell me which one will turn into America and which one will turn into Okinawa.

It is just sad to live in a time and space where common knowledge can be presented as novel information. Says everything about where we are.

Good information, thank you! The long life some attain isn't as impressive as the long functional life of the Okinawans. In addition to the factors in the article, Okinawans also have much higher iodine and potassium consumption. Both are sorely lacking in modern American diets. Okinawans traditionally add ashes from wood fire into their noodle dough which gives a huge boost to potassium as well as a unique flavor. They consume an impressive amount of sea vegetables like wakami and kombu which have exceptional iodine content. Dr. David Brownstein has a lot of information on iodine's role in optimal brain function, cancer risk reduction, and overall good health.

Also few vaccines, less poison in the foods and waters and oh, less medicines as no running to doctors for a little pill to fix 'everything' (See Wegovia for the dangers of 'there's a pill or a drug for that' condition). And yes Maimonides (sp) knew circa 1150 AD that you stop eating when you are full. Or even before, don't eat too much was one of his rules and only eat when hungry! See we've know the solution to fatties for a long time. Eat only when hungry, limit the food to reasonable intake (portion control) and exercise/move. Do that and you aren't going to get fat.

Wish it wasn't on Netflix, ugh :(

However I have seen a similar movie as this (saw trailer) about the Blue Zones a few years ago and it was very informative. IMO the Blue Zones in America would have been or are The Amish, The Orthodox Jews and those families that live on farms. Everyone else at old age is isolated and discarded.

I don’t consider epidemiology a science. It is the practice of having people guess what they are for the past several months, then if the reported diets don’t support the bias if the “researchers” they adjust the data until it does. This is more akin to fiction than science, and absolutely incapable of showing a causal relationship.
